Eating has always been a passion of mine, but recently Momma has taken food to a whole new level. Suddenly I have gone from eating just milk (still my favorite) to gourmet meals of peas, carrots, squash seasoned with garlic, and green beans. All of course are prepared by my personal chef, Momma. I must say as much as I love her savory dishes, she makes a mean smashed banana. Oh my goodness, bananas are a-mazing. I have figured out too that all I have to do us squirm and squeal (aka cry), and she will feed me even faster. I'm working on increasing my palette daily. To all my friends out there,I would have to give apples two thumbs down. Maybe Momma will figure something out to help me like those better. In thinking a little apples with my oatmeal would be superb. For now I will continue enjoying my milk (seriously it is so good I even wake up craving it) and hoping and praying Momma keeps those smashed bananas in stock!

Goggles Anyone?
I don't know about you, but anytime I try something new for the first time a necessary accessory is a set of goggles. Jacob had so much fun climbing his first tree with his cousin Austin over Thanksgiving!

Jacob's Christmas Tree
Liam has been asleep since 5:30. Matthew went to the band concert, then a movie. J and I had a date. We ate cookies, decorated his Christmas tree, sang, and best of all, we cuddled. I simply love my baby boy. He makes my heart melt every day.

With A Star On Top
J asked for days to put the star on top of the tree. I couldn't get the energy to decorate though. Liam was in theists of a growth spurt when Matthew put up the tree. We finally got the tree together, and J helped Daddy with the star. This was such a sweet moment. I❤them. Liam loves the tree too!
And The Verdict...
Liam liked his green beans! He had already eaten, but tonight was the first night he stayed up past 5:30 since I made them! Liam had a few bites before he decided to spit them out. Overall I am claiming a victory. I am absolutely in love with my two little boys and their daddy. I love doing even the smallest things with them. Tonight we took the boys to the school swim meet. Liam squealed anytime one of the kids would dive. We asked the swim coach (our friend Alex) when she was going to start a K3 swim team. Jacob loves to swim and said he wants to be on the swim team "tomorrow."

Green Beans... No These Really Are Green.
I made Liam's first batch of baby food today. I cannot believe my baby I old enough (five months) for solid food. The doctor said to go for it, so we are. He has been eating a little oatmeal now since his four month check up. Some days he loves it, other days not so much. I don't know if he will like green beans or not. We shall see. I made most of Jacob's baby food. There are some things, like prunes, that I refuse to make. I will probably be more laid back about Liam's diet. His pediatrician suggested that he eats what we do. I have a really good food processor so I plan on just keeping it on the counter. Liam has already tried mashed potatoes and loved them. I am going to have to start giving him a spoon to play with while I feed him. From day one of eating oatmeal he wanted to hold the spoon. The day I shared my mashed potatoes he was reaching for my plate. He also had a French fry the other day when we were out. I helped him with it of course. Again the fry got rave reviews. I am bound and determined to make Liam's food too. Have you ever seen the baby food at the grocery store? The green beans aren't green. They look like mud. Considering we as a family are working towards eating less processed foods, Liam should a well. I used to always season Jacob's baby food with garlic and other spices. I will do the same with baby L! I know we are already super busy, but this is so important to me. I'll update with the verdict soon!

Jacob's First Day of K3
Isn't he too cool?
He is so big.
Jacob already knew his teacher Mrs. Wood making the day a little easier. She greeted him at the door with a hug and birthday surprise. We LOVE Mrs. Wood.
He got to be the line leader the first day of school. He was so proud.
The first day of school was also his birthday. I cannot believe my baby boy is already 3!
I think he had a pretty good day, don't you?
