I Wanna Play Bubbles Momma!
I finally got my camera back out! Yay! I haven't taken any pictures with my actual camera (I use the iPhone daily) since Christmas. So enjoy...

Little Things
Likes:
Song- Manifesto (Amen as J likes to call it)
Bible Verse- Genesis 1:1 (1)
Pastimes- YouTube on the iPad or iPhone (Elmo, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Following The Leader), building blocks, playing with play-dough, and taking care of his baby doll. He will cover her up, put her to bed, rock her, and sing to her. He is very loving. Jacob also enjoys helping us cook dinner and set the table.
Movies- The Little Rascals (He will say "Finders keepers, losers suck" not my favorite, but what can you do?), Cars (Cartoons), Panda (Polar Express), Woody and Buzz (Toy Story 3)
Food- Pancakes (still)
Book- Cat In The Hat, Brown Bear Brown Bear, 10 Little Lady Bugs
Outdoor Activities- Going to the zoo (the Pandas are his favorite), blowing bubbles, riding his tricycle
In general- Trains, horses, carousels, The Mickey Mouse Store (Disney store), Skype (he asks for this by name), driving, getting mail, going shopping (particularly at Target), Santa Claus
Phrases- "Kay, kay (ok?)" "Just for a minute." "Sammie hush!" "No, I do it." "I don't like it." "I don't want to." "I wanna cuddle on couch."
Jacob is really getting good at saying his prayers. He says "Dear God, Thank you for Mommy, and Daddy, and Sammie, and Naomi, and Guido, and Luigi (both Guido and Luigi, his snails, have been dead for quite some time now. I guess he is in denial). Thank you for our food (as he points at it). In Jesus name, Amen.
When one of us sings out of turn or says something he likes to say he will cock his little head to the side and say "no, my ________." He kind of mumbles a little when he says it. We of course crack up whenever he does it.
The other day Matthew and J were playing with play-dough. J wanted Matthew to make a snake. Matthew did, but then said something to the effect of it looked more like a penis. J took that very literally and said "Oooh, penis!" "Penis go tee, tee." Yes we do have a boy. I am learning to embrace all of the boy things. Words like "fart" and "poot." Oh how I hate just typing them. Well such is life. And yes, Jacob does call it a penis. We call it like it is around here. Don't judge.
Bedtime is easier now. He will actually ask me to go rock sometimes. We typically rock for .03 seconds then he is ready to lay down. I cover him up, play his giraffe music, and make sure he has all of the following in bed with him:
-Jessie (Toy Story 3)
-Fellow (really named Lotso from Toy Story 3)
-Minney Mouse
-Mickey Mouse
-Baby
-and recently his singing Santa
Jacob loves to help around the house. His favorite parts of the day include taking Sammie outside, feeding her, and feeding his fish. Poor Naomi hasn't gotten as much of his attention lately, but he does love to take care of her. He holds the door open for me at every opportunity he gets. His daddy is teaching him well. He gives the best hugs and kisses now too.
I simply adore this child with every ounce of my being.
