I'm Guessing He Is Happy.

This video was taken a while back, I just haven't had time to share much lately.  Jacob was watching his Elmo video.  Now up until this point he hadn't paid much attention to it.  Then all of a sudden, "If You're Happy And You Know It" came on.  He couldn't get in front of the tv fast enough!  He totally cracked us up.  I had to get it on video.  He had been clapping for a while and would even clap when Matthew sang him the song.  We knew he really put two and two together so to speak when he started clapping along with the video.  We were so proud!  I love this little boy more and more everyday.

Club Applebee's

We have known for a long time that Jacob loves music, hense the rock n roll birthday party.  He not only loves music, but loves to dance.  A trip to Applebee's could only be made memorable by our sweet baby boy Jacob.  The song playing in the background is Fergie's "Clumsy."  He loved it!  I hope you enjoy this as much as we did.

Where Are The Cheerios Mom?

I took Jacob dowtown to some of the spots where we took our maternity photos.  Now, I should have waited until one morning to do the photos as it would have been cooler, and typically Jacob is in a better mood in the mornings.  I'm pretty sure I only got one picture with him even smiling.  I guess you live and learn.  Regardless, I think some of them turned out alright.  Even if he was searching for his Cheerios the whole time.

Two Voices

I sang Jacob to bed tonight as I always do.  We have a list of around ten songs that we rotate through.  Some nights I get in a rut and simply sing the songs in the same order.  Tonight was different though, each song was sung with meaning.  I sang with all of my heart and hoped that Jacob understood how much I adore and love him.  I knew he did as he put his little hand in mine.  I couldn't help but think one night, he is going to join in with me as we sing those bedtime songs.  One night, we will sing with two voices in harmony, praising God for the blessings in our life.  Tears came to my eyes with that thought. Tears of joy, tears of sorrow.  I am sad that a phase has ended (books tell me I know longer have a baby, rather a toddler), but excited about what is to come.
